Dr. Dykstra was invited to present at the Back to Your Roots Annual Workshop in Saskatoon, SK, CAN. The title of his talk will was "Farming Beyond the Textbooks"  The workshop took place at TCU place, Saskatoon's Arts and Convention Centre.

Dr. Dykstra attended the International Congress of Entomology  held in Orlando, FL and served as moderator for one of the many sessions planned.  His presentation on the 29th was entitled "Two Competing Theories of Insect Olfaction Must Both Be Rejected".

March 13-15, 2016

The first spinoff product using innTrap® technology was awarded "Best New Product for the Middle East Market- Agriculture" at the annual AGRAME conference in Dubai.  The spinoff trap is modified to catch the Red Palm Weevil (Rhynchophorus species) with drastically increased efficacies.  "Electrap" is officially endorsed by United Arab Emirates Ministry of Climate Change & Environment.  Dr. Dykstra was not present to receive the award.

Dr. Dykstra attended the Back to Your Roots Annual Workshop and was invited to give three presentations as well as several breakout sessions.  The first two presentations were to first-timers at the workshop and were entitled "An Overview of Brix" and "Electrical Conductivity in Soil".  His main presentation was entitled "Gathering Energy".

U.S. Patent #9,173,388. The second part of "Radiating Systems for Affecting Insect Behavior" was awarded on November 3, 2015 (co-author) by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Dr. Dykstra was invited to review 100+ years of the citrus industry while pointing out the reasons for the recent demise in Florida.  The title of this comprehensive talk was "Growing Citrus, Citrus Diseases and Citrus Pests" and was given at the Soil Works LLC Annual Sales Meeting in Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. Dykstra presented a talk entitled “Electrical Conductivity in Agriculture” for the Soil Works Spring Growers Meeting in Yankton, SD.

Dr. Dykstra presented four times at the Back to Your Roots Annual Workshop.  His main talk was entitled “Electrical Conductivity in Agriculture”.  Additionally, he conducted three breakout sessions discussing Brix readings as they relate to crop plants.

January 6-7, 2015

Dr. Dykstra presented at the 3rd annual Soil Health Symposium in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada.  His presentation was entitled “What Insects Tell Us About the Health of Our Soils” and was translated into French.  The following day he participated in a Q&A session (with a translator) involving a select group of growers from Quebec.

Dr. Dykstra was invited to present three talks at the Soil Works LLC Annual Sales Meeting in Phoenix, AZ.  The three talks were entitled “Why We Use Brix to Test Plants”, “Plant Elevators: movement of plant sap” and “Heavy Metals- but not the big-hair bands”.
