Dr. Dykstra served as the judge for a science fair featuring homeschoolers in Ocala, FL.

Dr. Dykstra attended the International Congress of Entomology held in Orlando, FL and served as moderator for one of the many sessions planned. His presentation on the 29th was entitled “Two Competing Theories of Insect Olfaction Must Both Be Rejected”.
March 13-15, 2016
The first spinoff product using innTrap® technology was awarded “Best New Product for the Middle East Market- Agriculture” at the annual AGRAME conference in Dubai. The spinoff trap is modified to catch the Red Palm Weevil (Rhynchophorus species) with drastically increased efficacies. “Electrap” is officially endorsed by United Arab Emirates Ministry of Climate Change & Environment. Dr. Dykstra was not present to receive the award.

Dr. Dykstra attended the Back to Your Roots Annual Workshop and was invited to give three presentations as well as several breakout sessions. The first two presentations were to first-timers at the workshop and were entitled “An Overview of Brix” and “Electrical Conductivity in Soil”. His main presentation was entitled “Gathering Energy”.

Dr. Dykstra was invited to Dade City, FL in order to give a “field walk” and discuss the reasons for the demise of several local orange groves.
