Exploration annual meeting in Boulder, CO. His presentation was entitled “Protein Semiconductors in Relation to Insect Olfaction.”

Dr. Dykstra recently contributed to the GWIZ Museum outreach program through theAssociation for Chemoreceptive Sciences< in Sarasota. Dr. Dykstra brought over 200 of his Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and discussed insect olfaction to eager students from the area.

Dr. Dykstra spoke at Utah Valley Universityin Orem, UT. His two talks are entitled, “Can the Lock and Key Model Explain Insect Olfaction?” and “Towards a Decoding of Insect Olfaction.”
